CONNECTION FOR COUNSEL

Many conflicting and contradictory stories have evolved over the centuries concerning the origin of man, but as a Christian, it is beyond even unreasonable doubt that GOD created man in his own image and likeness after creating the habitat in which HIS creation will dwell.
HE put man in that habitat called earth and noticed that HIS finest creation needed help, so HE decided to create a partner for man, and from man (his rib to be exact) HE called her woman.

In creating man, GOD as willful as HE was and still is, gave man his own will power and freedom to do his own will, while still giving him laws to follow in expectation of a correlation or synergy of HIS will and that of man. But man had other ideas, at the first opportunity to use that free will, he blundered by committing sin. His desire to be equal with his maker got the better of him and his maker couldn’t interfere because he had already received the license to make his own choices and decisions.

Was man incapable of making a good choice?
Of course not!

Most employers would gladly order their secretaries to start typing the letter of termination if an employee fumbled on his first job.
Some employers are lenient; they may give just a warning.
Man got banishment,
Was GOD harsh?

No way, exile is better than prison and tilling the soil for one’s stomach is better than community service.
Am sure, if man had a crystal ball, or could read the stories of; Noah’s ark, the tower of Babel, Sodom and Gomorrah, the children of Israel in the wilderness, etc. He would probably have been jumping up and down in the courtroom. He got off easy! The best sentence he would probably have wished for.

But GOD is the master, HE was simply playing HIS game right, what HE simply did was to put man in a more expanded scope where he would have to make many more of those similar choices at the rate of almost a hundred choices per minute.
GOD increased the penalties and reviewed all the sentences for making the wrong choices or decisions.

Here was man who thought he had got off easy, suddenly realizing that he had only been put on parole, a violation of that, and his posterity could be in big trouble.
We didn’t have to wait long for the parole to be violated, just one generation down; cheating, jealousy and murder of the first degree were all committed by one person!

Another case of man making the wrong choices and decisions, but yet again, GOD tempered justice with mercy and gave the aggravated version of the first sentence.
But by the time man started to make these wrong decisions on a regular basis and with the angels coming down from heaven to join in on the act, GOD had had just about enough.
Hence, the introduction of capital punishment, a total wipe out of all offenders, leaving only a family of good citizens.

Why would anyone still make the wrong choice when he knows the penalty of such an action?

Man’s will and bad decision making had once again landed him in trouble, but this time it cost him his life.
That didn’t stop him from making wrong choices and decisions, he continued many generations on and he still does today.

So you see, man’s will and poor decision making was what started his trouble, but JESUS (Wonderful Counsellor) came to bring him out of that pit, died for him, resurrected from the dead and left him in the comforting hands of the HOLY SPIRIT to lead him to the blessed future designed for him. This this way, man would have complete guidance, counsel and direction towards the fulfillment of his destiny.

No more battling with his flesh over which direction to take, but an opportunity to join the faith and walk the narrow way to the end.

No more fears and conscience fights, but now we have faith and fellowship.

Praise the LORD, for HIS mercy endureth forever!
